Built to execute the future of grid-scale energy storage

Founded by operators. Backed by capital. Focused on long-term performance.
Liminal Energy was founded by Mark Saunders and Ken-Ichi Hino to provide integrated, aligned solutions and accountable execution to grid-scale energy storage.

Backed by a $200 million commitment from NGP Energy Capital, we combine decades of project experience across development, finance, and operations.

Solving the complex puzzles that energy storage projects bring is the work we’re built for.

Meet the Liminal Energy Team

We run a lean, partner-amplified model that spans supply, offtake, construction, and asset operations. The approach accelerates timelines and sharpens pricing visibility while preserving control where it matters. We scale through expertise and contracts—not headcount—so overhead stays light and execution stays tight.
